Video card gone bad?

Everytime I try to run 3D mark all I get is flashing yellow and orange on the screen. And when I try to run Sandra Multi media the little picture that comes up is just a whole bunch of dots. It finishes Sandra Multimedia but results are extremely low. Any suggestions?

Does it only happen when you benchmark?

It could be:

Direct X needs to be upgraded
or video drivers need to be reinstalled
or the benchmark prog needs to be upgraded or reinstalled.
if it is always going haywire then it could be the card itself.

If it isn't Direct x or drivers it could be that your card is getting too hot when you put it to work. I can run (but I don't)NeverWinter nights with my card at 300/610 (default is 250/315)but it freezes in Dragothic high detail. The other day I forgot to turn on the airconditioning and the house was at 80f when I got home. I could'nt even boot until I took the overclock off the mobo and then it froze in windows until I took the oc off the vidcard.

Then I think you need to reinstall your drivers or directx 8.1. I'm using ver 29.42 of the nvidia drivers I found them to be more stable for me than 30.30.
