ok tonight i broke 10000 in 3dmk 2001 but had to go to the extreme of visibility to get it (wasn't pretty at all) has anyone had problems with a kr7a above 157Mhz fsb? i'm sure that my system can go further but i don't know where to start. i have mem at most aggressive timings, my vid card was clockrd to near death and i was running a minimal istal of 98se. what more can i try?
any suggestion is welcome.

What is your voltage? What are your full system specs? You might want to try better northbridge cooling + 3.65 VIO on it. Perhaps your memory is crapping out, try a higher vdimm, or maybe your chip needs more voltage.

What do you mean by that? You mean there was garbage on screen or something? If so you went too far on the video overclock. If you mean you had to run it on the lowest settings and no AA and stuff that's a common practice for getting the higest possible score.

northbridge cooling is stock,
full specks,
kr7a-r, xp1800@1806, corsair xms2700, rad 8500, 2xmaxtor 740s in raid 0, diva isdncard, soundbalster audigy, hauppauge win tv pci
voltages are maxed out on the bo0ard temps for the cpu are good (about 40c but thats in a quiet power case if i push the cpu 1 mhz higher the bench just freezes at a random point (no bsod just stops on one frame of the bench)
card was clocked too much so output was garbage just did it to see if i could break 10k,

Wow. I cant even get 10k. My system specs are below. Is windows 98 faster for doing 3dmark then XP. I can get my fsb to 180 and beond and my Radeon to 305/305. Radeon and CPU are watercooled so I dont have probs with that. What am I doin wrong?

Probably radeon is wrong just kidding. what's your ram type. I get about 100 more points under XP

With an Athlon XP 1600+ @ 1670MHz (Agoia) ASUS A7V333 and Radeon 8500 LE @ 300/620, the highest I got was http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=3801949

have you tried running at 166/166? that should put you ~9700. a boost of FSB to 175 leaving the memory at 166 will get you over 10000. I have to set my memory to 2.5 3-6-3 on "fastest" setting

I have a unlocked xp1600 on the 8K3A mobo using 256mb of Samsung PC2100. I also use winXP (not that I am proud of that or anything)

Maybe my Radeon has some slow memory. Ill try the 166 thing.
