Audigy plat or IT7 onboard sound?

the IT7 has a Realtek ALC650 onboard, and I have an Audigy MP3+ now, I mighht jsut upgrade the Audigy to a plat and get a mobo with no onbvoard, or go with the IT7 and jsut sell the Audigy. I want whatever wil lgive me the best sound and most features, becasue I am turning my comp setup into a home theater system kindof, for DVDs to control lmy CD player and all that good stuff.

From personal experience, the Audigy(I had the platinum) is no good for DVD's and Music. It has a slight edge in gaming only because of EAX. But my GTXP is much better for DVD and music playback. Also the Audigy is not the best at 5.1, its alright at 2.1 or 4.1 but seriously lacks in the 5.1 department.
