Ok here is the question has anybody got a Unmounted_Boot_Volume error and a blue screen on windows xp home edition i would like to know how to get pass it tryed in safe mode does the same thing it saids that shawing or cache needs to be turned off,,,,,,please help.

You could try fixing your bootrecord in the Recovery Console. That might help, but I'm not sure.

Push comes to shove, you could always run a repair installation of XP.

see i cant get into windows can you do the restore in the setup at the frist or what someone guide me through the steps

put your XP cd in the CDROM drive and boot off of that. Go through the motions till you get to the spot where you can choose to boot to the recovery console

Once in the recovery console, type the following, then eject your CD:

fixboot
fixmbr
exit

if that doesn't work, you'll pro'lly have to run a repair installation.
