Anyone that uses air cooling should just get down on their knee's for something like this. I used a Retail HSF and was in the upper 50's mostly now I am hovering in the low 40's upper 30's. When your CPU is within 4-7C of your systems temp....Life is good... Now if I could just figure out why my locked AMD chip will mess up my system if I push the FSB past 142......any ideas? Oh yea heres a picture.

[edit] Lowest I have seen my CPU temp at is 37C..AT FULL LOAD!!!!

yes it is a GREAT cooler.. not too bad on the wallet either.. what sorta fan do you have slapped on that bad boy?

One of those Crystal 80 mm fans from SVC. Adjustable from 22CFm to 55CFM. Around 41Dbl and really nice. The two blue LED's make it kind of fun also...Especially looking down the duct.

Gotta love the AX-7...Even with a medium-duty fan like my 80mm Antec Smart Fan, it keeps my Athlon running nice and cool...
Even at full load my temps never get above 43 C...
Well worth the price IMHO...:D

i believe the 78 and 57 are measuring cpu utilization, those aren't full load temps if they are cpu utilization.

I have the EXACT same cooling. AX-7 with the Crystal 80mm from SVC. Used Arctic Silver 3 for heat transfer and my temps are literally the VERY same! It's a great cooling setup. Right before I logged back on my PC had been sitting idle for over 2 hours and it stays at a constant 37 C.
And just curious, what are your case temps??

good deal now all you have to do is get better airflow in your case. I have same heatsink with a 35cfm antec fan but with exellent airflow going through my case. here is a cut & paste from my mbm log

My case temps are like around 35-37C....Pretty good huh? CPU runs 4-5C higher than ambient...Pretty damn good and not on the bottle...LOL

Just got my ax-7 today, have 7 80x80 7000 rpm Thermaltake fans 2 in front 2 in back 2 on sides one on top then one on the ax-7! I am using the chieftec server case from newegg. I am running 32C and 35C on a full load of looping 3dmark for about half an hour, these hs's kick alot of cookies!

yea thats good now you just need to focus on getting the case temp down then you'll be set.

It's been a hot summer here in colorado. And I am upstairs so double damage there. Anyway, I know... Even with the side off and with 7 fans going full bore I can only get to around 33C...Doesn't matter anyway. I have an AGOGA core AMD so I can't get over 142 FSB. REALLY sucks and I am just to worried about getting back to school to care about it. Sides, 1.63 ghz is enough for the moment...Just wish I could pump the FSB some at least......................

I have just replaced my volcano 7 for an AX-7 and even with a bad cooled case, I got 6-7ºC idle and full. And I'm using a Tt controler and my Delta 68cfm is running at 2500rpm, quieter than my Volcano 7 was. For now it's no use to increase the RPM because I got just more hot air being used by th HSF.
With the case open and Delta at 3500 I got a max of 43 with cpuburn in high.
Great cooler, hard to find here in Brazil, but it's worth the money I payed.
