From this interview with Nvidia's CEO:
http://www.siliconstrategies.com/story/OEG20020816S0058

“We are very confident the NV 30 will be ready in time for the Christmas Season,”

but

“Until we get this architecture into 0.13-micron, it is really impossible to get the next-generation look and feel that you would expect for a next generation [graphics processor,]” he said. “But we fully expect to be there by the next Christmas season. ... "

Could this mean the delay in taping it out could be because they had to switch back to the .15 process? This could be crippling to them with the R300 looking so strong. Anyone have any more information before we jump too far ahead?

i say its worth it, we can have .15 micron stuff for a little while untill nvidia can polish a .13 micron technique, becasue production costs would raise to the sky, or even get a crappy product, nvidia can live up enough to get the frist place again we just have to be patient...

I mean, just like ati will do, nvidia will release a .15 micron chip for christmas, and maybe in late spring a .13 one, it might depend on ati's release timings...
