I want to buy a single stick of DDR 3200 for O/Cing my P4 2.26 I845E that I will be getting. Any recomendations on good ram for this? I want CAS 2 not 2.5 right? I am looking at about $140-$180 shipped price bracket.

woah , didn't know they had 3200c2 already, some nice stuff...
way too expensive though...for me at least
nice!

I am talking about 512 not 256... And $244 is a bit over...

Be careful what you ask for...you may actually find it (or at least come close)!

Actually Googlegear had the 512mb PC3200 C2 module for $185 as of yesterday (same module you just saw for $244). Just checked it now and it went up to $192 but shipping is only 50 cents. This may be slightly outside of your range but this is probably the best memory you'll find. Here is the link for the PC3200 C2: http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80097 (there sight is running a bit slow tonight"

Or you can save a few bucks and get their PC3000 C2 stick for about $169. It will most likely be able to run at PC3200 but with slower memory timings. But then again the difference between the fastest and slowest timings on the i845 boards seems to be only about 2%. Here is the link to the PC3200 module: http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80086

DOnt even look at Kingmax... theres a reason why its that cheap.. No one wants it! It blows and sucks at the same time..

It wont even do close to its rated speed... Even teh 2700 stuff was better then the 3200.

So forgetaboutit.. Most imprortant thing for you Intel users is the ram.. Buy same good stuff and have a nice computer.. Head to http://www.spartantech.com for this:

512MB MEMORY XMS3200 (400MHZ BUS) 512MB DDR 64X64 (184PIN) UNBUFFERED CAS 2 USES 32MX8 DRAMS WITH HEAT SPREADER CORSAIR BRAND MEMORY

Only 185 bucks!

damn wish i would of known about those cheap prices long ago..
