Need to replace my Optiquest Q71 17" monitor with a 19" recommendations please

plan to replace my 17, I would love a lcd but they are costly and from what I have read not the best for gaming.

Looking for a 19" flat screen with max res of 1600x1200 with dvi and a good max refresh rate of 85 ?

can this be found for $340 US or less??

all links welcomed

Here's my two cents:

Cent #1: Anything but KDS.

Cent #2: I've a 17" NEC AccuSync and I'm really happy with it, I've heard from people who own the 19" version and they're happy with theirs. So indirectly I recommend the 19" NEC.

Correct me if I'm wrong, there aren't enough pixels on a 19" to support 1600x1200 and you'll be sniping. I would look into Viewsonic perhaps. They make some good quality monitors and there are some with 1280x1024 @ 85hz which would rock. Perfect resolution for you.

I'm using the Samsung 900NF, it support 1600x1200 at 75MHz, and 1280x1024 @ 85MHz, and its listed for $339 over at Newegg, and $539 CDN over at CC .

i second the samsung 900NF, not from any personal experience. its listed the top 10 number 1 in the cnet recommendations and the user opinions (which is very important) are also very good.
i recommend you to search the cnet reviews and user reviews.

Cool

I have come across a NEC MS97F 19" Flat screen with 76 hz refresh at 1600x1200 .20-.24 variable dot picth.

Price is very good here in Canada at Futureshop for the equal of $193 US dollars.

Anyone own or know anything about this monitor personally.

at 75Hz it can do this! 1856 x 1392 @ 75Hz

and yes it is perfect flat with anti-glair
