I'm in decision whether to get Ti4400 or Radeon 9700.
Sure, R9700 will stomp ti4400 but the price tag drives me farther from it. But at $330 with shipping isn't that bad. Do you think I should get ti4400 for now and get NV30? or get R9700 now and wait for a chip after NV30? Or should I just wait for NV30 and not get any right now at all? I currently have Ti200 overclocked at ti500 spec.

I'm confused.

If I were you, I certainly wouldn't buy a Ti4400. The GF3 @ Ti 500 levels is a great card. The Ti42/400 while a great value, are not _that_ much better than what you currently have. Sure, you'll gain some framerate, but frankly I think you'll be unimpressed.

Were you holding onto a GF2 or original Radeon, I'd say jump on the Ti4400. Only because I like to leapfrog a generation.

I'd hold out until the price on the Radeon 9700 dips to just under $300 and then go for it. No sense in paying $30 more than you have to. Use that extra cash to pick up a game. :)

yeah I agree I would not go from a Ti200 to a 4400 just cause the cost, I would consider an 8500LE if I were you and overclock it

better yet hold off for a month and get a 9700!!!!!:burn:

On the other hand, you can get a Ti4400 for under $200 now ($180 for an Albatron, $188 for an MSI or PNY). Heck, there are Ti4600 cards out there now listing at $225.
