i want to know if the kt333 boards will support the 333 fsb of the xp2700.
i'll be looking to upgrade mem and processor about the time it comes out.

i know about the mem,but i was wandering about the 333 fsb athlons.

Sorry, I misread. I have been wondering the same thing. It would be nice if my board would support the new athlons. Considering I just bought the thing a few months ago.

ya i know what you mean,i bought this bd in july to replace a shuttle ak31 v3.1 that was bad and i hope i can use an xp with a 333 fsb in it.

the sad thing is I just got a KT 400 ultra and I still don't know if it will officially support the 333 FSB, even emailing soyo has been a dead end.

oh well, if I gotta sell it, too bad.

Yes, I think so.

1. Go to this link below to see the differs between kt-400/kt-333/kt-266a:

2. Go to this link below the new AMD w/ FSB 333 is coming to Earth:
http://www.amd.com/us-en/Corporate/VirtualPressRoom/0,,51_104_543~43657,00.html

The bottom line is this new CPU is still fit on a Socket A (426), and with my Soyo KT333 Dragon Lite, I can set FSB to 400MHz, and set my Mushkin PC2700 (333MHz) to 400MHz also.

It should work fine (or only work in theory?), as long as the DDRAM clock speed is not lower than the CPU clock speed.

according to soyo,yes the kt400 will support the xp2700 & 2800
this is from their site

Supports AMD Socket-A type processors, including AthlonXP, Athlon and Duron (up to 2600+; 2700+/2800+ ready)

here`s the webpage

i'm not so sure about the kt333 since to run at a fsb of 166 a pci devider of 1/5 in needed to keep the agp and pci in specs.
