When you are looking for a better overclockable p4 chip, the newer one USUALLY does better. But how do you figure out it's newer or older? By looking at the pack date or fpo/batch date?

Example:
CPU #1 has pack date 7/24/02 and fpo/batch week 9
CPU #2 has pack date 6/14/02 and fpo/batch week 19

Can you tell which one is the newer chip?

im not quite sure, but i would have to say the later week is the better chip, even though in your example, the later week, has a earlier pack date. i would personally get the latest week you could find. i just recently got a 2.4b chip that was made the 25th week, and it is awesome, it does 159 fsb on default voltage.:D

FPO/Batch Date is when the CPU was made
Pack Date is when intel put the CPU in the BOX
