Is this a good CPU cooler?

Is this a good CPU cooler for the upcoming AMD XP 2600? I would add the Sunon 80mm fan that puts out 84.1 CFM to it.

Make sure your motherboard has the 4 holes in it to mount it. I've heard of some companies not putting the 4 holes on their motherboards as it is not required. I've never used this heatsink but I've heard that it's a good performer. The fan might be a little loud but it depends on if you can tolerate it. If not then you can put a reostat on it.

To answer your question, yes it is a good heatsink, arguably the best.

I own one, you can slap a high performance 80mm fan on there and have one of the best air cooled solutions...or you can get your hands on a nice quiet 80mm fan and have a nice quiet setup.
