gigabyte GA-7IXEH urgent problem!!!

Hey i hope anyone who read this could shed light on this problem. i bought a gigabyte motherboard today and a athlon xp 1600.i installed everything fine, but when it detects my cpu speed it ses 1050 mhz, now, it shud be 1400, does anyone know whats happened? anyone know what to do? iv tried moving the fsb bus up to 20 (the max it can go) but that only bumps it up to 1026, ne ideas?

Sounds like your FBS is set to 100mhz try setting it to 133mhz.
10.5x100=1050
10.5x133=1396 or so
check your manuel it might be a jumper or dip switch or a BIOS setting
