I'm getting the Gigabyte 8ihxp tomorrow, currently i have two 256 pc800 RDRAM's and a 1.8ghz northwood. I'm getting the 2.4B northwood soon, my question is - will this CPU work at 533Mhz if my memory is only running at PC800 speed or will i have to put the speed of the CPU to 400Mhz if the memory is only at PC800? This is without overclocking (not planning to overclock).

thanks for your help ;)

I'm using PC800 Samsung in my 2.66 rig. Of course, I have the memory multiplier set at 3X, but even at my "normal everyday" 3 gig overclock, the memory bus is running at 150 FSBX3=450X2=900 MHz, which is still overclocked. When I'm at default speed of 2.66 and running 4X, I'm perfectly stable even though my PC800 is running at PC1066 (133X4=533X2=1066).
