Maybe one of you virtual guys or gals can help me find a solution.

... I got carried away and pushed the poor Celie 600 just bit to far on an Abit VL6 motherboard to 115 FSB (was rock stable after all my tests at 110). The system hard locked at boot so I unplugged power cable and set the clear CMOS jumper (3-5 minutes). Now the system boots into a very mangled CMOS/BOIS.

* Tried disconnection power supply from motherboard and doing a clear CMOS.

* Force boot using insert and delete as well as a power reset (warm boot as well as cold)

* Force boot to A: - will not get that far

Nothing has been successful. Will get to the Award BIOS and throw up binary currently, any ideas?

Well I get the

Award BootBlock Bios

BIOS Checksum error

Detecting Floppy drive A: Media....
INSTERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

Will not even start a system load to try a reflash using some of the tricks posted.

Any way to recover? Or is it a gonner:eek:
