Ok. I just bought a G3 Ti 500 Good card a little outdated but, for $80 it was a bargin! Now, on all the web sites doing benchmarks they are showing 80 - 90 fps (1600x1200). I'm getting 60. You might think it was my machine but, no way, plus the fps don't dip down.. they are rock steady at 60.
Is there something limiting this ? How do I turn it off?

Welcome to the forums!

Might wanna check your VSync settings on the driver...the verticle sync will limit your out put FPS to equal that of your monitor's refresh rate...and in games, Windows is set at 60Hz...

heh..

No, I have set my monitor's refresh rate to 100Hz and the card is capable of more. When a card is struggling for fps, it will dip down during busy scenes in the game (like war sceens etc) but, these don't. They are ROCK steady at 59-60.

Drivers are current.

I will look in the driver.

SWEEEEETTTTTTTT

Oh.. You rock! I will try this out tonight when I get home.
