If you want the best resevoir ever made.....then I'll make you one of mine. I actually applied for the patents last week. Mike at liquidcool.org has posted pictures of it on his site in the 'News' section. Im wondering what people will pay for this resevoir. Keep in mind, it is totally hand made, and top-of-the-line. I made it as a 'Show Quality' piece. All highly polished aluminum with stainless steel Swagelok fittings, and a Rio 800 pump. This will be the best resevoir anyone has ever seen. I attached a photo. Email directly and we'll discuss the details about it.

I do not yet know if I will be making these in production yet. I'll probably make them to order. It is alot of work to make this resevoir. The bottom needs to be TIG welded on, the entire body needs to be machined, the 8 lid holes need to be drilled and tapped, and the whole thing needs to be polished to a mirror like finish.

My main question is: What would you pay for something like this resevoir ?

well, it's definetley a nice looking reservoir. BUT, my personal opinion is use whatever works! My reservoir is an old tub my mum kept her plant food in. My waterblock is a sunny delight bottle. My pump my friend gave me becuase a water dispay he did didn;t have a powerful enough pump. The rad is a heater matrix. The only thing I paid for is the hosing and barbs and the 120mm fan on the rad.

Well you would think being the 'Water Cooling Guru' that you are, you would want something nice. No one ever said that the first rule of water cooling is to use a bunch of junk. So I believe if your going to build a hot-rod computer, then you should use the same approach hot-rod car builders do....Nothing but the best, no matter what the cost or the amount of time it takes to build it. So, when you decide to take pride in what you know, and you want to build a bad-*** system that even looks nice, then let me know and I'll make you something that not only performs well, but looks kick-*** also.

BTW....do you drive a 1981 rusted-out Ford Escort ??? I didn't think so....You wouldn't be caught dead with a piece of junk like that. You should approach your computer with the same respect....considering you probably make more money with your computer, and you use it alot more than you do your car.......

does it really matter the quality of parts used for watercooling? it seems that most watercooling setups will perform relatively close to each other. since they all run about the same won't the person who spends less get the best price-to-performance ratio?

that is a sharp looking resevoir though. nice workmanship and shiny as well.

I agree Josh. But I like my stuff nice looking as well. I have lotsa pride in my work....so if I do something, I do it right. To each his own !! But I give everyone credit....and lots of it...cause I don't have the creativity skills to make working parts out of sh*t that's laying around my house.

valid points. But also, it gives a certain "mad doctor" feel to your room,.when people walk in and see it....

But also, why have it on show? Hide it? It all depends. And if it all fits in your case, who cares what it's made from?

There are so manyarguemtnst either way, and I'm not saying your res is bad (cos it looks DAMNED nice) but it all depends on your motivs..

I actually quite like my res for some STUPID reason. It's green with a yellow lid.

I went with the kit from 2cool computer which is adequate for my needs but I do wish I had a DangerDen water block. There will be one on the way in the near future.

Get your fittings, fine machine screws, springs, clamps, hose at Home Schmeepo, Pumps are tough, garden center maybe or http://www.petwhse.com/ or http://www.petsmart.com. Resevoir from electrical supply store or the Shmeepo. Rad from auto junkyard, or appliance repair shop. Waterblocks by searching this forum for pointers.

good point, if your can go all out you might as well. you wouldn't happen to know where i could get a stainless steel tube for evaporative water cooling
