Win98 screen resolution quesion.

I've run into an interesting problem. My dad likes to keep his monitor set at a reasonable resolution (1280x1024 or so), but my mom prefers it set freakishly low (800x600, ick). Is it possible to set up desktop shortcuts to change the resolution back and forth under Win98? I figure that's easier than teaching 'em how. ]

Thanks in advance.

You can install a program called QuickRes (I think it's called that), that stays in your tray, so with a few right clicks, you can change between resolutions.

Not sure about a desktop shortcut though.

ATI video cards come with this type of software, I have heard of software like this on the market, you might goto download.com and look for one. I used to have a ATI card and it put a little monitor in the lower right hand corner of the screen. It had saved settings you could name ex: games, pics etc. all could be set at different screen sizes and change on the fly.

Or, you could download PowerSrtip, and save whole profiles (screen res, color depth, GPU/mem speed, refresh rate, color of colors, ect.) to your desktop. I love the thing!
