I neeeeeed HEEELLLP!!!

The silly system is getting an error when I try to load windows. I have just
reformatted the drive and after half way (point of first restart) through
installing windows 98se she has a mental!

The following error message is below:



While initializing device IOS:
Windows protection error. You need
to restart your computer.

(after I restarted it asked for safe mode)

Error: HIMEM.SYS has detected ureliable
XMS memory at address 030027FC
XMS Driver no installed

(Then it asks for restart)



Can someone please help get windows up and running.

You should run some sort of memory check, to make sure that your mem is fine.

I fixed it.
It was the RAM. I put som new RAM in and away it went
