Asus P4B533-V can't use mic @@

i'm using the on board sounc card that came with this MB "C-Media Wave Device" but the problem is.. i can't use my mic. it can't detect it

anyone know why?

I had the same problem. It defaults to a 4 speaker system where the mic input is used as a back speaker output.

Go to the sound settings and change to 2 speaker system. It is as simple as clicking on a button.

Your mic input will start working immediately.

This is one of the small problems of the P4B533-V. Some of the sound card connections are multi-functional!
