Refresh Rate Only Nvidia Problem?

Is the refresh rate problem in Windows Xp only apply to Nvidia Cards. Because my friend has a old computer that has integrated Intel I8201E chipset, he used to play counterstrike at 640x480 at fast speeds on windows 98, but now on xp it goes slower even though he added more memory.

this is a Windows XP bug,....it applies to every chipset ever made

ok thanks, because for all the refresh rate fixes i see its mostly for nvidia chipsets.

also is there a program that shows what fps im getting in a game?

Scarface01: yes, is called fraps.. you could get it at www.fraps.com
on CS(HL) you could also pull down the console and type cl_showfps 1
Hope that helps..

Oh, and in-case he needs a refresh rate fix, tell him to get refresh-lock, work on every vid card unlike nv-refresh..
