good rad's?

ok, im putting together a new water cooling setup and it seems that the top performing water blocks right now are the Maze 3 and the TC-4, but what about radiators? which ones are top performing?

gah, yeah, the BI is ok, but it is NOT worth the price. its a heatercore thats sold for computers and they jack the price up. get yourself an 86 chevette or 89 camaro. around 20-25 bucks

are there any special modifications that need to be made to the heatercore to make it work with a computer water cooling system?

I would get the heatercore that Dangerden and Dtek sell. You don't have to make any modifications as it comes with the correct sized barbs. If you buy the heatercore from a auto parts store I believe you will have to solder on new barbs.

You may want to cut the inlet and outlet off and outfit the core with your own barbs. Just use silver solder or JB Weld to secure the barbs to the rad. Also you may want to build a shroud to attach the fan to. If you need to know how to do this use the search button and you will find a wealth of information on the subjects.

dont get the camaro core, its huge. the chevette core however is perfect. you will have to cut off the existing outlets and put which ever size barbs in that you are going to use. and i would recommend using jbweld to put them im. i have done 2 of these, and they work great. i would also recommend painting it also.

are there any dealers you would recommend for getting a '86 chevette heatercore or should i just go to the scrapyard and look around there?

edit: nevermind, i just called autozone and they've got like 40 of em for 26 bucks a peice.

Also check E-Bay for heatercores.
I got a nice heatercore cheap.

With shipping it was like $15 for a 9"X6'X2" heater core.

To get it ready for use, just cut the barbs down to 1-2' and RB weld poly barbs on.
