Best Geforce4 Drivers

Just wondering......

What do all you guys think the best Nvidia Geforce4 drivers are? Please give details of why you think so and some 3Dmark2001SE scores.

I'm using the beta Detonator 40 drivers on my new MSI GeForce4-Ti4400 and they work quite well. My 3DMark2001 score is only 9,450 with the card overclocked to 330/630 but I only have a Celeron using slow PC133 SDRAM.

I am using the 40.71 drivers. They are just a tad slower in 3dmark2001, but I think the picture quality is better. These drivers also fixed the dark screen problem in quake engine based games that has plagued the last couple drivers.

I have experienced zero problems with these drivers in stock settings I get 11800 and when I turn up the video card can easily bust 12300. Even with OC'ing the video card I can play UT2003 at max settings for hours with no problems.

I'm using nvidia detonator 40.41 and the highest 3dmark2001se score I've gotten is 12,998 w/ a MSI GF4 TI4200.
Absolutely no problems w/ any det driver.

I'm using the 40.71 for my Ti4600. I got better scores with the 40.41's but these ones give me better quality and no noticable performance drop.

My favorite still are 29.42!!

The 40.xx are fast - but they are crap! And I´ve tried ´em all 40.41, 40.51, 40.71 !! 40.41 - bad pic quality, 40.51 - better but still not so good like old ones, 40.71 - nice speed, nice quality but produces crashes /w some games!

EDIT: Just recognized there are 40.72 now..... maybe I´ll give them a try! Don´t know what to do with my sparetime anyways

I've been looking around the internet. Some have said the 28.30 have been a very fast and stable driver. Any agree or disagree?

I have to agree with Bigsexy. 29.42 all the way.

Well I have been trying the 40.xx's and don't seem much difference between them. At least nothing to really be concerned about. I have noticed I am unable to overclock my video card with the 40's. Guess I will be trying the 29.42 next.
