graphics card fan....ARRRRGGHHHH

now im p***d.

the fan on my gf 440mx has started making the most annoying grinding noise.

once more. just once, and im gonna stamp on it.

well thats that off my chest.anyway, anybody got any idea for a new h/s (a silent one would be great)?

Have you tried oiling the fan with sewing machine oil? After crazy spinning it may be squeeking because of the lack of oil.

You could buy a 60mm x 10mm Fan from Cybermouse and wire it for 7 volts, that will be pretty quiet.

Or just replace the Heatsink and fan with a Crystal Orb and wire that for 7 volts

Shipping shouldn't be too harsh. Afterall you can fit those fans in a bubblewrap evelope and all.

shipping would probably cost more than the fans lol.

are there any decent sized h/s that i can adapt to fit the card?
