Hi, i bought this processor:

AMD Athlon XP 1800+ Palomino 1533MHz/1.533GHz 256Kb 266MHz 0.18

and this cooler:

Taisol CGK760092 copperbase cpu-cooler SocketA

and i wonder how far i'm suppose to overclock?? i have a Epox mainboard:

EPoX EP-8K5A2 KT333CE+ 6PCI 1AGP 3DDR-DIMM UDMA133 USB 2.0 6CH-Audio SocketA

How far you are supposed to overclock? you arent supposed to overclock at all. But you can and it depends upon your board, ram, and heatsink (among other things). You personally have to find the balance between CPU temp and system stability for your setup. If you search you should find plenty of info.


for instance, I have my xp1800 running at 1770MHz air cooled ax-7, Asus a7V333. and 256 megs of corsair XMS PC2700. It will be liquid cooled tonight...I cant wait
