Non-direct cooling of a heatsink

Hey guys I just got myself a 120mm Panaflo L1A

Here was my plan to have that puppy about 3 or 4 inches over the heatsink, with a channgel over it. Exhausting air right out of the case. Will that work fine, with the fans 68cfm? or will i hinder the performance of the HS.

I'm runnin an XP 2100, anyone know a good HS that will suit my needs?

I've seen the zalman heat sinks dunno if i trust their performance. Thanks!

so the fan will not blow onto the HS? If that is the case you will overheat. Blow it onto the HS. 68cfm? I am not sure on that. (I tend to stay away from fans) I would get a huge 100 some cfm delta, if you can take the noise. O, its an XP in that case get the biggest fricken fan you can buy!

It will work, but don't expect the full 86CFM to blow over it... expect maybe half or 2/3.
