Question axp2000+ unlock question

i unlocked my axp and have full control of all mutipliers but have a few questions.
1. when set bios to defaults and boot up it boots as 1250 mhz which is 12.5x100. which is correct for all defaults. when you set fsb to 133 and leave mutilplier alone and leave setting to default and reboot it boots at 1700+ which is 11x133. why does the mutiplier change without me changing it?

when all settings are set manualy everything works great. could this be reducing my oc potential? max so far is 11x166=1826 at 1.9 volts. will boot at 11x170 for a second then crashes. sure it is heat related. 55c at that speed and 1.95 volts. need some water cooling!

You should be able to squeeze more out of that on air cooling (what hsf do you have?) - have you tried 11.5x166?. My chip is still locked and can do 12.5x144 with temps around 48C under load. Not sure why you have the erratic boot up figures - you sure it is properly unlocked?

tt v7+ runs at 48c at 1.85 volts max overclock is like 147 fsb locked and unlocked is about the same. can boot up to 1870 with my case sides off and at 1.95 volts. is only stable short while till temps get to high.

Well it would seem that the problem is in your cooling - depends if you wanna shell out in excess of 50 dollars upwards for something like an SLK800, AX7 or Swiftech for probably only a minimal gain. Water cooling would probably get you bigger gains but at greater cost!

If it reads correctly when you adjust it manually (which you would want to do when if you have unlocked it!) then I dont think you have a problem.
