super pc2700! what im running right now is holding me back on my overclock

whats the best pc2700 i can buy?

2700? Why not get some nice 3200? or even 3500?:D

Corsair, Muskin, Crucial and Samsung makes good 2700, Corsair and Muskin for 3000, and Corsair only for 3200 and up:beer:

well i just maxed my ram out. at default voltage.179! woohooo
guess what its pc2100. im very impressed with corsair, with samsung chips.im gonna buy more and faster ram soon but now after seeing this imight just get bigger sticks of this.

btw im burning in with prime 95 at the moment.2x149 fsb at 4-5 memory ratio.and cpu is at default voltage!thats 179 on the memory.typing as i type now at 42c!

3200 isnt sapoused to be supported on my board ,but i have noticed a good chunk of people are using 3200 on the kx7 so i just might do that.

thanks for the input guys.

from what I understand, if your board supports ddr (pc2100 ram or above), then it will take anything even up to pc3500, but the faster ram will just run at pc2100 speeds by default.

I was thinking of getting some pc2700 ram just so I could run @ 150fsb instead of my current 142 max.

Yep... that's how it works. If your board supports pc2700 and you put in pc3200 or better, you can improve your timings and overclock it without much worry. (unless you go TOO high!)

P.S. I'd pay $100US to SEE you shoot a cow with a rocket launcher.
