Now I am a little confused.
In amd offical technical files “Methodologies for Measuring Temperature on AMD Athlon ™ and AMD Duron™Processors”
(http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/white_papers_and_tech_docs/24228.pdf), i am told that the temp of the back of cpu is hotter than the area just besides the die core. but in swiftech website (http://www.swiftnets.com/troubleshooting.htm), it is said that the most accurate results will be got from the area just beside die because of the effect of airflow.
,I think the airflow around the socket only changes the air temp inside the socket(the result of motherboard sensor) , the probe placed on the back of cpu still gains a hotter temp. but I am not sure.
Another thing, the airflow can really make the air temp inside the socket drop? I never found that the fan on northbridge will affect the result of motherboard sensor. Every mb sensor has different accuracy, I don’t think such a little airflow can make 7 degree difference. The last question is the output airflow is symmetric to the socket , it mean that the pressure around the socket is the same. So the airflow should be ignored?
Who can let me know the detail of the truth? Thank you very much!
