ti 4200 or 9000pro (both 128MB)

I have an assignment for one of my classes. It is as follows - to build three boxes on paper (just the box)
one must cost < 500
one must cost < 1000
one must cost < 2000

This is the vid card for the mid range system wich will be a p4 2.4. I'm looking to keep the vid card under $150

The Ti4200 is a much faster card then the 9000, keep in mind that the 8500 is faster then the 9000 and about 15% slower then the 4200. So I think you should be choosing between the 8500 and 4200, 8500 is cheaper and slower. For that CPU it would be nice to have a 4200 or faster but see if you can fit it in the price, if not the 8500 isnt a whole lot slower.

just seconding what daddyB said, 8500 is faster and cheaper then the 9000. 4200 is definetly faster but more expensive, on PW you can get a 128b 4200 albatron (not the turbo one) for 142 bucks, not bad if you ask me.

Mizzery, where'd you find that? That's a really nice deal, and I would like to have a Golden Sample for that cheap.
