How can i get my password back for logon?

When i go to standby which i need because i got to do some other work so to save some power i want to leave it on standby but then the logon thing appears but i cant remember my password!! Anyone know how i can disable it or get my password back it just happend when i hit standby or i clock logoff by mistake and i need to hold the power button for 5 sec i need aviod that. so please anyone know?

ok if your using xp "right click on your background goto the screen saver tab and click the power buttom in the bottom right once in there click on the advanced tab and you'll see a box that is checked intitled "promt for password when computer resumes from standby" uncheck and that will fix your problem...
