Here you go guys.

Nothing overclocked in my system as yet (not even the Radeon 9700).

I am using the Asus P4PE Deluxe by the way. I badly need a Granite Bay motherboard!!!!

Sandra 2003:

3DMark 2001 SE:

Northwood 3.06Ghz without HT and Radeon 9700
= 15759 3DMarks

Northwood 3.06Ghz with HT and Radeon 9700
= 15810 3DNarks

http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=5111036

Quake III (1.30 patch and running Demo Four timedemo):

Northwood 3.06Ghz without HT and Radeon 9700 at 1600 by 1200 32bit with max settings all the way = 204.4 fps

Northwood 3.06Ghz with HT and Radeon 9700 at 1600 by 1200 32bit with max settings all the way = 204.7 fps

Comanche 4 at 1600 by 1200 32bit with max settings:

Northwood 3.06Ghz without HT and Radeon 9700 = 58.49 fps

Northwood 3.06Ghz with HT and Radeon 9700 = 58.30 fps

Unreal Tournament 2003 at 1600 by 1200 32bit with max settings all the way:

Northwood 3.06Ghz without HT and Radeon 9700
Flyby = 105.781
Botmatch = 70.304

Northwood 3.06Ghz with HT and Radeon 9700
Flyby = 105.678
Botmatch = 70.160

So as you can see HT does nothing for gaming performance now.

However, AMD's favorite benchmark Sandra 2003, does have a boost in performance.

very nice.
i like those sandra figures.

when are you going to overclock the mother? i can't wait to see how well (or poorly?) it does.

No rush in overclocking the CPU.

There is nothing more I need to test this year, apart for the Granite Bay.

I want the excitement to last. Come on I paid $650 for the CPU.

As for now I can say it is not worth the price at all.

I was getting similar results with my AthlonXP 2700+ with nForce2 and Radeon 9700 (all not overclocked).

O/C that sucker. I saw a guys sig that said he got 18.2k 3DMark with the same set up, with the exception of a 2.66 CPU @3.36.

I'd really like to know if hes full of it or not and you have the rig to prove it!

<--is not full of it, if your taliking about me. Its up on the 3dmark team for ya. Sweet run there Manoj.
