Hi everyone

I recently unlocked my xp2000+. I am currently running it at 167x10.5 The few questions I have is

Why when the system boot up it shows xp1600? Was the unlocking sucessfull?

2)When I changed the multipler in the bios to 12, It booted up nicely. However I noticed that windows or any other program only recognizes 1.83Ghz. :bang head

I should have 166x12=1992

3) Last Question I promised. For unlocking, I use windows reardefogger kit and glue. What can I use to remove the Windows defogger kit incase I want to do it again? I was thinking of goo gone or Goof off.

thanks for the help

1. Yeah when you first boot up it will say a load of jibberish then you go into bios and change the clock speed. A thing to remember is that the core speed of an xp 2000+ is 1.6GHz.

I did this 20 times HONESTLY. Your unlock was unsuccsesful. Whats happening is that when it says its a 1600+ you can only run at the 1600+ multiplyer. YOu get what I mean?
For Example:

2000+ 12.5
1900+ 12
1800+ 11.5
1700+ 11
1600+ 10.5 10.5 x 167 (what you are really running) = 1753.5

Just try unlocking again, good luck.

Problem solved. Re did the L1 bridges and everything seems to be ok. System boots up displaying xp2000. Now I run my system at 176x10
