Im getting 166FSB stable@ a DIMMv of 2.8 with a CAS setting

of 2-2-2-5-1. the ram will got to 195fsb b4 i get reg errrors.

I am testing two types of ram as i write this.

CorsairsXMS PC3200 CL2

Mushkins PC3200 CL2.5

SO far Both Modules will run @ 166 wih the most "aggressive"
[i.e 2-2-2-5-1] with no problem.

i have only used SisoftSandra 2003 an 3Dmarks 2001 Pro Version

so far to bench them with.using memtest86 next.

So far the Mushkins gave me a bettter 3Dmarks score then the

Cosairs did @ 166fsb with 2-2-2-5-1..

got screen shots if anyone wants to see them?..

you have two moduals running at the same time?

so far the finding i have is that the 1 stick i have will do 460,2.8v, (2,7,3,3) enhanced dram disabled. with voltage maxed and timings laxed it apears to have a ceiling of 475ish but thats unconfirmed as no mem testing has been done only 3dmark.

Mine runs at 192MHz with most aggresive settings at 2.75V and will take prime95, sandra, 3dmark and memtest for as long as I leave them running.

My motherboard does not support cas 1.5

:edit: I have not had it any higher because my gfx card does not seem to like the high agp speed

do these moduals not like amd systems? everyone that has posted is running below the spec of this ram and is aparently having to up the voltage to get results. im running 235 fsb through these things with my 3:4 divider and getting a 473 DDR out the other end. prime 95 tourcher test will be run tonight to cheack for errors

Wait...the sticks of 3200 that are guaranteed to run at 200MHz CAS 2 aren't able to run properly at that speed? Even at Corsair's recommended vdimm of 2.8??

Mine does 213 no problem at 3.1 volts.

thats p95, memtest , everything 100% stabble. Turbo settings , cas 2 all that jazz.

it used to only do 205 but after about 40-60 hours of burning in its good to 213, i havent tried higher

Corsair guarantees their RAM to 2.8Vdimm. Anything higher voids the warranty.

I think the idea is not to tell them you were running at over 2.8.

if you want good #s you gotta have good voltage, plain and simple.

the warranty isnt that important really, if you got a good stick its gonna last

youll know inthe first two days if you got a bad stick 99% of the time

Corsair pc3200 cas2 is rated for 2-3-3-6-2.
Most people's most agressive timings are 2-2-2-5-1.
So people who can only reach 175fsb are pushing it beyond it's spec. I'm sure if they set it at 2-3-3-6-2, they could hit 200 or better. Granted, this does not give a full 3200mbps bandwidth, the max that an AMD at 200fsb can take, but something like the dual DDR Nforce2 could easily give you that bandwidth, plus enough bandwidth to make onboard graphics compete with a radeon 7500.

now it makes sence you guys are all volting for the 5's and 2's at the low speeds.

ok it looks like im heading into uncharted waters for these forums. i found this http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...?threadid=1361
and i think im gonna try the vmem mod to get 3.3 volts. im hoping to hit 500 DDR so i can bring my cpu up around its potential. 4:5 divider would sure come in handy right about now

maybe you can hit 200MHz FSB at most agressive timings and 1t if you burn it in for a whole week...
