New Proxy, With problems.

OK, I recently set up a proxy sever in my room, and I cant get any of the SOCKS programs to connect. I have the right IP and port, and tried all the options. I am running Proxy+ and have socks enabled. At first the socks stuff worked, but then it stoped and hasent worked since. Any Ideas?

Edit: Also I GIF images dont load in IE anymore, and that bothers me too.
