My motherboard manual stated that it could only use certain 128 and 256 Mb PC3200 sticks, from Micron, Samsung and Apacer. All of which are Cas2.5-3.

I am of course wondering if it's because there wasn't very much 3200 around when the board was tested and it will probably handle any kind of PC3200... seems logical to me.

I'm not all that concerned though since I don't think I can clock my processor and RAM over 200 MHz FSB and I have clocked my ram at 201 without it breaking a sweat... too bad I have to sacrafice that speed when I flip the 166 dip switch. (silly divisors)

Hmmm actually by my calculations I can get well over 200 w/ PC3200.. 240?

Glad to see all the replys....

Hey mods, could I have this thread sent over to the Gigabyte Athlon motherboards board?

Please?

Thanks
