IT7-MAX2 v2.0 BIOS and EPA Logos... where are they?!?!?

Hi!
I have get tooday my new mobo: the IT7-MAX2 v2.0.
I whent to build a modded bios for the Vmem settings before installing the new mobo, when I have noticed that the EPA Logo is mising. Is this true??
I can't see it with both CBROM215 and CBROM606.
Any suggestions?
DO you know if I can insert it? If yes, the file has to be made in some particular way? If yes, can you tell me wich ones?

Thank you.

I am a bios modder my self. I am not one of those that works on the binary code of a bios, but I use good CBROM and MODBIN.

I have allready made my new epa for the IT7-MAX2 v2.0 mobo, but I was wondering if I can load it when in the original ABIT bios the epa is not present.

For future bios modification infos, go to www.biosmods.com.
In the Guides section.

I am starting to build a webpage that will cater to tutorials on bios modding. I have the Cbrom portion loaded and I would appreciate any feedback that I could get on it.

PIRATA: I know you use to visit biosmods so why don't you take a look and tell me what you think.

Here is the link

Good site.
Its simple and helpful... really!!

Maybe a better explanation about the PCIModule would be good. Some one could have some problems understanding what to do when they go adding or replacing, for example, a new RAID bios when the program does not promt them which one youthey want to replace (cbrom bios.bin /pci raid.bin or cbrom bios.bin /pci[a] raid.bin ??). I have modded my IT7-MAX2 v2.0 bios adding a new RAID bios, but CBROM didn't ask me nothing. I have used the classic way to add a new RAID bios: cbrom bios.bin /pci raid.bin. I haven't flash it yet. STOP me if I have made something wronge.

Ok you guys are getting way over my head. How about a self extracting program that will replace EPA Logo with a Overclockers Logo like on top of the form for all of us dum a$$es that don't know how to do it our selfs.

phantom punisher... are you the owner of the site www.phantompunisher.netfirms.com??

The bioses on that site are relally interesting.
The really interesting thing is that they have some Defaults settings different from the original settings.
How can that be done??
Its the only part that I havn't allready learned in bios modding.

Ahh!! With the + and - you change the default settings. Mmmm... interesting.
And do I have to change the BIOS default or SETUP default selection to get the new setting when I reset CMOS via jumper??

I allready had a BIOS Savior, but for my KR7A-RAID. Now its time to take a PLCC BIOS Savior.
Hey... about this fact... what is the right BIOS Savior to get for an ABIT IT7-MAX2 v2.0??
On the Paul from the Paul's Unofficial ABIT IT7-MAX FAQ says that the right BIOS Savior is the RD1-PL model, when on IOSS.com (the BIOS Savior producer) you can see that the right BIOS Savior for a 4MB PLCC chip the model to use is the RD1-8X. See this by your own here.

He! The 8X2 is a 2MB chip. The IT7 has a 4MB chip.
When you will get the RD1-8X, please let me know if its the right one.

P.S.: Where did you order it?

Here is his site: www.paragonca.com

I think I will buy it from him.

phantom punisher... can you help me on a few things, please?

First of all, I have modded by my own the bios version CF.
I have added the PCI Bus Frequency & DRAM Voltages selections and added my own EPA logo. Every thing whent well and the bios works good... but the EPA logo... how do I select it to be shown in the boot up sequency???

Second thing...where is the Enhance DRAM Performance setting?? At its place I found the Differential Current setting. What is this about? Where is the Enhance DRAM Performance in the ABIT IT7 series???

P.S.: Is the Enhance DRAM Performance set to ENABLE like the old 1T setting on ABIT KT7 series??

Third thing... the computer freeze while booting up when he is listing the harddrivers connected to the RAID controller, and after a few tryes I found that I can't use the S-ATA on my MAXTOR DiamondMax Plus D740X 6L080J4 80Gb, while on my old MAXTOR 20GB (of witch I don't remember now the exact model) it works just good... adn the 20Gb hd is from 1 year ago!! I have tryed using the 20GB on S-ATA and 80Bg on IDE3 (RAID) and every thing works good. When I revers tem, it does not work. It does not work either with only the 80BG on the S-ATA.
What can you tell me about this??

Thank you again man.

i did a quike run through of it the other night to get it up on the site for those that were emailing me but i didnt finish it just got the basice out. ill have to download my old max2 v2 to see about the logo set up. i cant remember what i did. there was a bunch of stuff in this one that didnt look familier. when i get motivated ill try to figure out some more with it a release another one. gosh i wish i had my bios savior! i really want to start messing with them in hex and assembly
i dont belive i found enhance dram setting either. in the past ive set this as the default because it is aparently simular to a 1t setting. its deffinaly a harsh setting. i have to disable it sometimes to test out the top of my ram speed

as far as raid goes im afraid you guys are on your own. i update the raid drivers for the people who visit my site but ive never used raid myself or even set up a array.

I don't have a RAID mounted. I only use the raid channels for to have only more channels. Thats it.
About the SERILLEL I would like only to know if its a mobo problem or if it depends from the hd.

About the EPA Logo, please tell me where do I have to look in your bioses.

In your site under the IT7-MAX2 v2.0 -> CF download page, you have writed:

-increased agp options

-enhanced dram is enabled

What do you mean for increased agp options??
And did you have found the enhanced dram setting so to enable it??

P.S.: In your signature there is this link: Click here for IT7 mod bios, vmem mod guide, and it7fsb
What does it mean the 'and it7fsb' ?? I whent in that page but I can't find any FSB stuff. Can you please tell me if its some strange mod??

Thank you for everything.

try the award edit program i have linked on my tools page. with that one you can see all the different files that are in the bios like the raid and logo and cpu index.

-increased agp options

-enhanced dram is enabled

hah i cant remember if the first max2 v2 had these things or if i simply cop/pasted them from the other pages as i made the site in a rush and frankly, no one seems to read those. lol half my feed back questions are "does this bios have more vmem?"

What do you mean for increased agp options??

most of the bios if not all have a hidden 1x and auto setting. not much use for them other than debuging a setup problem.

And did you have found the enhanced dram setting so to enable it??

havnt looked at it yet. i worked on the computer way to much last week devoloping that vmem mod. im burned out haha.

P.S.: In your signature there is this link: Click here for IT7 mod bios, vmem mod guide, and it7fsb

ah glad you asked. its a download of the main page in the button "it7fsb" i love that thing for testing. that program allows you to change the fsb of the it7 while in windows without rebooting. its like "softfsb". i use it all the time for finding the limits of speed at certain bios settings.

Thank you for everything.

no problem at all
