Peops using fridges, do you ever turn off your computers ? read in please

I like to close my computer overnight, when using a fridge (evaporator in rez in fridge), do i have to forget ever closing my computer ? In the morning the water in my fridge was just too damn cold..... even the condensation on my lines were frozen solid....

Do you reduce the power from your fridges at night ?

Do you guys always leave your computers on?
And if you do close them, doesnt condensation soak the block and everything ?

Thx for the info

What kinda insulation ru using? I got my proc fully insulated in an airtight fashion and the pipes wrapped with pipe insulation. Will see how it works once I get the fridge modded.

Yeah you need to work on your insulation....
Either that or like I said in your other post where you asked the same question, turn the thermostat down.

fridge does its own thing, runs on and off 24/7. not only does it keep my res cold but beer and soda too my res, lines, blocks mobo and vid card are all insulated. getting it cold is easy, keeping it cold is a bit more challenging.

So if i'm reading you right, when you close your computer, YOU DO NOT turn off your fridge and YOU DO NOT turn the fridge down ?

If this is so, the next morning when you go to use your computer, arent your condensation on lines frozen and the block covered with ice, even with insulation ?

See my fear is, that when i turn off the computer condensation forms on the block and that condensation freezes overnight like it did first time i turned off my compu for the night, my rig wasn't well insulated then but even now im afraid of killing something.....

yes i leave the fridge running all the time, i use some stuff i read about here in the forums. its called "Armaflex Insulation Tape", Home Depot sells it for about 5 bux a roll. the stuff is is a godsend, its easy to use and if you take your time it looks clean when your finished. my blocks get down to about -13c, and ive never had a problem with condensation (execpt when i didnt cover enough area on the back of my gf4, wife left the pump on after checkin the mail one day...but that was my fault). just remember when your sealing it that if air can get to it condensation WILL form. so cover everything.

im assuming youve sealed the socket with dialectric grease and neoprene already.

Well... i closed the computer for the night, this morning i checked the fridge temps, it went from 46 farenheit to 34 farenheit this morning, this is even colder than the first time i closed my computer overnight and next morning i had gotten the beep beep of condensation death (not properly insulated...)....

Anyways the computer booted fine and i'm getting really cool temps... at 1.95 vcore i'm hovering between 3 and 5 celsius
That means at stock -5 to -10 celsius

I don't expect these temps to keep up but i might be good for one day at a time with these kind of temps, will keep you posted in the other thread, as far as i'm concerned this subject is done.

You CAN close your computer overnight with a fridge mod, but your computer must be insulated really really airtight.

when you say close your comp, do you mean you just shut off the comp, and leave the pump running? When I made my water-chiller, even though I insulated like a madman, I would still get some condensation on the tape holding the insulation on the pipes, and few similar places, so I was scared to leave my comp on for a long time, defenitly would not leave it on overnight!
