MSI G4Ti4600 or ELSA GLADIAC 925 G4Ti4600

Well first to the point are these the best video cards?

Which one is better? Im looking for performance, warranty span, lifespan, and no heating problems when overclocked(I dont want to mod things).

BTW how do you benchmark your computer? I have 3dMarkpro MadOnion but when I test it it keeps going on and on. Can someone tell me the steps 1 by 1. PLS!!!!!!
Thank You

Elsa will overclock better, but it is very overpriced. The msi is a great card also. I would go with Msi, great card, great overclocking. Also, dont buy a new ti4600, when the new FX comes out they will go down to like 150 bucks.

I thought ELSA went out of business...thus no support for their cards?

Nope ELSA close their branch in Germany but not in Asia. Luckily! Phew... Anyway GeForce FX= 8X AGP?
BTW what is a AGP Pro?
Why do you go for the MSI?
The models which I have listed are still 4X arent they?
Will 8X cards work on a mobo capable of 4X?

Are the GeForce 2 32mb ram not bad to compliment the A7V333 Athlon XP 2000+?
Theres another card called Triplex Silver Card. Is that any good?
Will the MSI or ELSA over heat when overclocked? I dont wan to mod it.
How do you benchmark?

personally at this point i think the 4600 is a waste of money, either get a Ti4200 or wait and get a 9500Pro

the 4600 is 20% faster and 80$ more expensive than a 4200, the 9500Pro is alot faster than a 4600 when visual effects are turned on and is going to be a little cheaper when it comes out

Visual effects meaning AntiAliasing and Ansiotropic filtering?
OK so now IC the difference. But when the visual effects for the ATI is turned off will the Geforce 4Ti4600 run up to the same as the ATI 9500 pro?

What bout the ATI 9700 Pro?

The Ati 9700Pro is bar none the fastest graphics card available to consumers, almost twice as fast as the 4600

with AA and Aniso turned off, the 9500Pro is a little slower (like 3%) than a 4600, but its still cheaper.....

having said that, i would still wait for GeforceFX to come out, which should be faster than the 9700Pro, and then i would get the 9700Pro for a lot better price

IC IC. Will the Geforce FX have vast improvements? will it be way way better than the ATI radeon 9700 pro?
Must cost a bomb.
But the 9700 pro has a slower memory clock rate than the Geforce Ti4600. Does that make a significant difference?

IC you are a real ATI fan. So far i have had 2 graphics cards in my life and they were both Geforce 2

"The biggest weakness of the GeForce 4 Ti chip is the big loss in performance when using anisotropic filtering and FSAA. Here, the 9500 PRO clearly beats the GeForce 4 Ti 4600. For example: a GF4 Ti 4600 achieves 53.6 fps in Unreal Tournament 2003 at 1024x768 with 4xFSAA; at the same time the Radeon 9700, at 4xFSAA, reaches an impressive 99.5 fps without anisotropic filtering, and still manages 69.2 fps with anisotropic filtering."
QUOTE from TOMSHARDWARE.

See the ATI radeon 9700pro without anisotropic filtering has 99.5 fps and with anisotropic filtering it has 69.2 fps.
Doesnt that mean that the ATI radeon 9700pro is better without the anisotropic filtering?

Whats does FSAA mode stand for and what does it mean? If the FSAA mode is 8X does that mean it can't run on a 4X capable mobo?

FSAA stands for Full Screen Anti Aliasing its compatible with all mobos, and the 9700 Pro as well as GeforceFX are AGP 8X boards they are backwards compatible with AGP4X

imho the FX will be 10-30% faster than the 9700Pro\

Anti-Aliasing and Aniso turn up visual detail and will cause a slow down on any card....the 9700Pro just happens to be the most efficient card out right now when it comes to AA and Aniso with 9500Pro coming close.....

If your going to get a Ti4600, might as well get it after the GFFX starts becoming available.

FSAA is Full Scene Anti Aliasing. You know the sharp edges along the edges of polygons in games? Basicaly it fades them into their background for a MUCH smoother picture.

THANX PPL. Thank you alot. Ill probably get the radeon 9700pro after the GForce FX comes out. By then it will be a cheap card. I don't want to be spending millions. And I wana see a concrete fact on the Gforce FX before i spend bucks
