New to the P4 Screne, question about temps.

2.53@2.85 Rock sold, but temps according to the HardWare Doctor that came with my Abit Bd7II-Raid are around 45-47c idle, 51-53c load?

Is this high? or is this normal now? I was big into the Ocing of the P3's, and AMD's, P4 brand new ball game to me..

Sounds fairly typical for an overclocked P-4 using a stock Intel heatsink and fan. What is your vcore voltage? Lots of cooling tweaks that can be done to help. P-4's like plenty of case ventilation for example. Arctic Silver is often good for at least a couple of degrees drop in load temps.

It's an abit bd7II so it just says 5% increase or somthing like that in the bios.

I was just playin a game and exited to look, said 56c..

Is that still safe? or is that too high?

hey maybve you should know the bd7ii's temp sensors are whack! Don't turst'em... overall add about 10 degrees celsius to your temps so instead of 56 it was probably 46...
