MSI MOBO temps accurate?

I have a P4 2.53ghz processor running on an MSI 845 GE max v2 MOBO. My temps are WAY high (45 idle and 60+ under load). I have good circulation and double checked my heat sink/thermal compund etc. I am using the stock fan/HS but am still really surprised and concerned about these temps. I have seen a few rumors that the MSI temps on this MOBO are off by as much as 15c which would put me right where I would expect. Anyone know anything about this or have any info. I emailed MSI about it and they told me my temps were "accurate and normal"!! Really??!! I dont want to invest in a new fan etc. if my temps are actually just fine.
