dvd-r-rw advice

i am considering the pioneer dvd r+rw 105.anyone have experience with them or any other,(brand,model)such as software bundle,ease of use ,stability?
i have found a couple of them with oem bundled software for 260.00.i allready have a dvd rom and an hp cdrw,but the veritas software is miserable at best and had to purchase nero 5.5 oem to avoid all the write and erase failures.
your experience here would help me avoid making another mistake like the overpriced hp.

there are some bad compatibility issues with burning 4x
on this drive. some are even having troubles at 2x!

i myself own a A04 and am very happy with it!

i'd get a Sony DRU500 or wait for pioneer
to release a good firmware.
