Can I do this with this motherboard?

I have this board http://www.aopen.com/products/mb/ax4b-533.htm It says it supports pc1600 or pc2100.

Can I put pc2700 in this motherboard and it will just down clock to pc2100?

You know like you can put pc133 in a pc100 motherboard,that kind of idea.

I found a good deal on a stick of 512 pc2700 and someone wants to buy my 256 pc2100 but I have to know if it works first.

pc2700 should be able to run on the motherboard. should be backwards compatible
