Program to monitor FPS?

Is there any program that can monitor FPS while in game? Have a little counter at the bottom or something. Or maybe a program that can tell you an average after your done? Anything would really help

most programs can display FPS while your running them...I haven't heard of an "external" program that does that. Would be kinda cool though

download the program called Fraps... does exactly what you want...
