ERROR: Timed out writing AC97 index...

ERROR: Timed out writing AC97 index...


Timed out writing AC97 index 02h (base E444h) this happens on post screen and says "press a key to continue" . When I do this, it
says...

Timed out writing AC97 index 06h (base E444h)
press a key to continue (press key)

Timed out writing AC97 index 0Ch (base E444h)
press a key to continue (press key)

Timed out writing AC97 index 0Eh (base E444h)
press a key to continue (press key)

Timed out writing AC97 index 10h (base E444h)
press a key to continue (press key)

Timed out writing AC97 index 12h (base E444h)
press a key to continue (press key)

Timed out writing AC97 index 14h (base E444h)
press a key to continue (press key)

Timed out writing AC97 index 16h (base E444h)
press a key to continue (press key)

Timed out writing AC97 index 18h (base E444h)

then it loads Windows...and appears to be ok...I find no exclamtions in device manager

I do see that the sound card and the video card are sharing IRQ11...

This is a business associates comp. Using Win98SE
Sound card is Trident

anyone know what to do?
