Unlocking a 2700+

I was wondering if there are any sites that have articles for this, because i am pretty sure that this is different then unlocking the previous XP series. If any of you know how, i would be happy to find out.

I hear the 2700+'s are already unlocked but i dunno.

I also thought the 2700 & 2800's were factory unlocked.
