kt7 raid chipset cooler

i was just getting ready to remove the fan and chip set heat sink for some cleaning, and figured that while i was in there, i would replace the factory thermal grease or pad, whatever the case my be, and apply some arctic silver, but there are these little black plastic buttons, holding the heat sink in place cant figure out how to get them lose, is there somthing on the back of the mother board holding them in?

I had mine off before I installed it in my case so you may have to remove it. if you flip the board over you can see the plastic tips sticking through I used a pair of needle nose pliers and pushed them back through. I am not sure if this is the only way or not but it is what worked for me
