I know there are better cards out there but I might be getting a good deal on this card, plus it has TV inputs; that's good for my video editing. I hear it's about as fast as a Ti200?

Let me know. Thanks.

its a little faster than a Ti200, probably on the level of a regular Geforce3

How do they overclock? Also what about the regular 9000 non-pro versions?

they overclock decently, probably as well as an 8500 would, i wouldnt get the non-pro though they are clocked lower and probably made by ghetto companies

VERY VERY true.
Stay AWAY from the non pro boards, they are horrible. If your lookin for video editing, the 9700 AIW is the way 2 got, but if you dont ahve the cash......got the 9000 Pro. (or 8500 AIW?) im not sure what one is better tho, the 9000 has slightly better image quality i hear.

Vid editing has very very little to do with the vid card, it's all CPU. I just like the TV in so I can do TiVo style recording, for vid it's all digital, i.e. firewired in (no generation loss).

As for the 9000 pro/non-pro thanks for the tip.

If your looking to buy a card now go with a Radeon 8500le 128MB. The retail version comes with BGA ram so it overclocks like a dream. This is a better performing card than the R 9000 Pro 128 MB and it costs less. Newegg.com has one of the BGA ram 8500s in the refurb secition for $80 shipped.

Only built by ATI Radeon 9000 128MB pros have the BGA memory. Other manufacturers use the regular RAM. I wouldn't go with the 128 version as they have slower RAM than the 64 meg versions. I've got the Sapphire 9000 pro 64 and I love the thing. My 3Dmark scores are about 8400. I've got mine clocked to 300/300.
