9700 pro

This is how my week has gone. Get cash for x-mas, figure wth go out and get a new vid card. I had a VisionTech GF3. So I go out and get a VisionTech GF4 4600 and that is good but when I go to vision tech to register the card I find out that the comp is out of buisness, so I take that card back and get an Assilum GF4600
and go nuts tryin to make it run 3dMark

I rip the thing out and take it back to the store.
I then pull out the extra $100 for the 9700pro and life is not very good my 3dMark scors are the same as the for the GF4 so now I am asking myself WT* is the card bad or what?
I am only getting 11000 points in 3D Mark. with my old GF3 I was getting 9000. I have got the new drivers from ATI am I doing something wrong?

did you reformat after taking the Geforce4 out?

Thanks. Looks like another windows reinstall. what drivers are doing the best I have the 3.0 from ATI?

The Cat 2.5 is best if u dont put DX9 on...if u do, that 3.0s are nice

the Omega 3.0s are the best as the Ati originals had some OGL problems

yeah omega drivers rule, stable and damn fast, but be aware that the omega drivers are made or configured for optimum performance in games NOT BENCHMARKS

running Unreal Tournament@1280x1024 with everything max has never look so sweeet

Thanks for all the help people. Redormatted and installed now running great. I get 13300-13500 points in 3Dmark.
