Is this possible....

I'm wanting to clean up the inside of my case,and since the motherboard I have ordered has serial ata.Well heres what i want to know....Can I get 2 ata 100/133 adaptors and run my HD and CD-RW off those,and move my DVD-Rom outside my case to an extrenal firewire enclosure?

edit:It's a ASUS ASU-A7N8X/DX motherboard if that matters.
